Postdoc Opportunity in Immunology

The Becker Lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to investigate adaptive immunity in tick-borne diseases.

Our approaches combine:

  • Clinically relevant human pathogens

  • Mouse and vector models of disease

  • Analysis of human clinical specimens

  • One of the largest patient cohorts in the nation

Specific areas of focus include:

  • Antigen-specific CD4+ T cells

  • Spotted-fever group Rickettsiae

  • Alpha-gal syndrome (red meat allergy)

  • Single cell immunophenotyping

Advantages to working in the Becker Lab at Stony Brook:

  • A new lab with ample funding

  • State-of-the-art ABSL3 and animal/vector research facilities

  • Highly understudied area of immunology
